Long Hollow Dude Ranch Vacations
Dude ranch vacations are the heart of what we love doing at Long Hollow Ranch. We invite you to come along and experience the magic of our working ranch. This is the perfect way to “get away from it all” and find peace and perspective as you experience a simpler way of life on a cattle ranch.
A “typical” week may look something like this:
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of a working ranch and changes in the weather, the schedule can change without notice.
We do attempt to keep regular meal times with breakfast at 8 AM, lunch at noon, and dinner at 6 pm.
|Sunday||Check- in anytime after 3:00 PM. After settling in a light supper will be served around 6:00 PM. This may be followed by a tour of the ranch facility and/or just take the opportunity to relax and unwind in the peaceful ranch atmosphere.|
|Monday||Monday starts with a hearty breakfast at the ranch and continues with ride orientation at the barn. Guests meet their horse and enjoy a short morning trail ride to get to know their steed. After lunch, a ranch trail ride departs from the barn and travels along the outskirts of the ranch. This is a great ride for orienting yourself with the wildlife and scenery of Long Hollow.|
|Tuesday||Tuesday includes two trail rides, scheduled to allow you time for a trip to town for shopping at the local tack and western stores for items forgotten or just wanted.|
|Wednesday||Following your morning ride you are invited to enjoy a half-day of river rafting on the McKenzie River. Cost of a rafting trip is included in guest ranch stays of four or more days. A full day trip is available for an additional cost.|
|Thursday||Trail ride or arena work in the morning, with a sunset ride after dinner departing at 7pm.|
|Friday||A half-day ride to Whychus Creek for lunch and back mid to late afternoon. Free time before supper.|
|Saturday||Brunch will be served on the trail or at the barn allowing for departure by 12:00 noon.|
